Who we are:
The Secular Temple of Lucifer is a non-theistic, secular philosophical organization devoted to reason, equality, and enlightenment. We exist to cultivate critical thought, ethical responsibility, and personal autonomy grounded in real-world human experience rather than delusion or dogma. Our community affirms the inherent worth of every person and actively advocates for the representation, dignity, and protection of marginalized and minority groups, including people of color, the LGBTQIA+ community, women, and all those historically excluded from systems of power.
We are principled, intentional, and serious about what we stand for. Our values are not symbolic gestures; they are commitments practiced through discourse, ritual, education, and collective action. We believe enlightenment is not bestowed; it is pursued. Justice is not abstract; it is enacted. Equality is not conditional; it is absolute.
Our members, known as Luminare, gather in Luminariums: spaces dedicated to thoughtful dialogue, ethical examination, and the shared pursuit of clarity. Together, we challenge complacency, confront injustice, and refine our understanding of what it means to live responsibly in an interconnected world.
Who we are NOT:
We are NOT a theistic religion, and we DO NOT worship deities, demons, or supernatural forces. Lucifer, within our framework, is a symbol representing inquiry, defiance against imposed ignorance, and the courage to think independently. We are not anti-science, anti-reason, or reactionary. We reject extremism, exclusion, and hierarchy rooted in fear or identity.
We are not performative in our ethics, nor do we tolerate discrimination, bigotry, or harm disguised as tradition or belief. There is no place here for racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or any ideology that denies the humanity of others.
What we stand for:
We stand for reason over delusion.
Equality over domination.
Enlightenment over obedience.
The Secular Temple of Lucifer is a space for those who seek meaning without delusions, ethics without coercion, and community without exclusion. If you believe that dignity is universal, that justice demands action, and that enlightenment is a shared responsibility, then you belong here.
